I just resurrected an old jewelry line that was inspired by a customer who wanted a Mickey Mouse pin for his daughter who has an extensive collection of Mickey Mouse-themed items. Originally, he wanted a silver Mickey Mouse pin and after designing it and figuring out how to fabricate it, I realized I might be liable for a lawsuit, since it was a Disney design copyright. Therefore, I switched gears and got a piece of Disney fabric, cut out the image, and incorporated it into a mixed media piece, using papers and mylars, and encasing it in a two-part epoxy. It came out great and I managed to expand my offerings and have made pendants and pins, spectacularly colorful crosses, as well as non-themed items that are pins and pendants on leather cords.
